USDA Funding for Rural Community Facilities

Through the Community Facilities Guaranteed Loan Program, USDA partners with private lenders to finance the construction, enlargement and/or improvement of public facilities. Facilities can include, but are not limited to, schools, community colleges and vocational schools, libraries, hospitals, medical clinics, assisted living facilities, fire and rescue stations, police stations, community centers, homeless shelters, public buildings, detention facilities, transportation, and recreation (Guaranteed Loan Program Only). Projects must be in rural areas with a population up to 20,000.

These loans assist public bodies, not-for-profit organizations and Indian tribes in securing financing for land acquisition, construction, expansion, legal and other professional fees, equipment and fixtures. For further information on this program contact any of our six local USDA Rural Development offices or visit our web site.
